Well, it has been awhile since I have blogged...a lot has happened since my last post.
Getting the new book/DVD orders out - that was an intensive few weeks, but we managed. I do thank everyone that picked up the new products and I hope you will enjoy painting the projects for this holiday season. I have enjoyed looking at some of your work on Facebook, Message Board and/or email thank you for sharing. It is always nice to see how others interpret my designs.
Most of you know by now that I had to cancel my Euro seminars this Fall, due to my father's heart attack and hospitalization. He is on the road to recovery now and we have hopes that all will be well, but only time will tell. I will be making up the seminars this Spring, but other than that....due to the ailing health of both my Father and Mother, I will be sticking closer to home and travel teaching will be on hold for awhile. I may be bringing back seminars closer to my home area: Myrtle Creek (like we used to do the Summer Seminars), so stay tuned as I ponder that option.
I guess we all make decisions based on what we feel is best at the time, so for now this is what I will be doing. I will post it on the website when things change, just FYI.
There is a new free pattern on the website, a simple pink lapel pin for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I've also designed a couple new pins...pumpkins and a ghost, you can see those on the site.
Currently I am trying to work up a new idea for Christmas gift cards - here are a couple designs of the unfinished wood prototypes (these are still subject to change!). I am thinking to add ribbons/thread or what-have-you to the holes, the top ones being the hanging holes (for the tree) and the bottom hole would keep the two pieces together. The bottom layered piece would just be plain (no etching). I am thinking to use a glue dot (or double-stick tape) to hold the gift card in place between the two pieces....so we will see how these work out...
I had a birthday recently and my honey brought me this lovely cake...
It was very low in calories...completely made of flowers. Sweet!
As I sit here writing this, I hear the sound of hail outside....Fall has arrived - and in short time, Winter will be upon us. Keep warm everyone!
Hi Jamie,
Lovely to read your post.
So sorry to hear about your Dad, i'm glad he is on the road to recovery and I'm with you, I wouldn't be traveling to far from home either and I'm sure everyone understands.
That cake is just gorgeous. How sweet and considerate is your dear hubby.
Thank you for the pattern.
Happy Painting,
Hugs,
Anna
