Today marks the one-year anniversary of my beautiful Mother's passing...
I can remember this day (and the weeks leading up to it) like it was yesterday. I ache with the loss...and words cannot express the pain squeezing my heart. To not hear her voice daily via a phone call or visit leaves me so sad, even though I know she is in a better place...
My Mom helped me tremendously in every aspect of my life; she was my biggest fan and my biggest supporter. She was the hardest working person I knew and always had a smile on her face...
As most of you know, she suffered from Parkinson's...she fought a brave battle and was an inspiration to all of us. To honor her memory I would like to share some treasured family photos and a beautiful poem...the photos are placed in random order, I think you can see what a special person she was...to me and to all of our family.
He Only Takes the Best...
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be... So he put his arms around you, and whispered “Come to me”... With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away... Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay... A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest... God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best... My Mom...
(The very last photo was my Mom saying: No more pictures Jamie!)
Thank you for allowing me to share memories of my dear sweet Mother...
I love and miss you Mom!
